Prescription medication or low cost medications may be offered in some of these facilities. Several of these clinics are free and some may charge patients at a sliding scale. The fees will be minimal on a sliding fee scale. Most cases the patient will need to pay only what they can offered towards their bills. In addition to the clinics listed below, there are several specialized programs sponsored by pharmaceutical companies, business associations and non-profit organizations to assist low-income or needy individuals in obtaining necessary prescription medications free or at a substantially reduced cost.
